Terms of Use
Last updated: September 7, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this website, operated by United Link Foundation (“ULF”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.
Use of This Website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Submit false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content through our contact, comment, or donation forms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or interfere with this website in a way that disrupts its normal operation.
- Use this website to violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
We may suspend or restrict access to this website, or remove content, at our discretion, without prior notice.
Donations
Donations made through this website are voluntary contributions to support United Link Foundation's programs. When you submit the Donate form, you are redirected to a secure payment page hosted by Stripe, Inc. to complete your contribution — Stripe's own terms of service and privacy policy govern that part of the transaction. We are not able to guarantee that a submission on our Donate form results in a completed payment; only a payment actually completed on Stripe constitutes a donation to ULF.
Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error (for example, a duplicate charge), contact us using the details below and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it. ULF uses donated funds to further its mission and programs at its discretion, consistent with any specific designation you provide, where reasonably practicable.
Comments and User Content
If you leave a comment on one of our news stories, you are solely responsible for that content. By submitting a comment, you confirm it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party, and you grant ULF a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on this website. We moderate comments and may hide or remove any comment, at any time, for any reason, including content we consider abusive, spam, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, all text, graphics, logos, and photographs on this website are owned by or licensed to United Link Foundation and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and share content from this website for personal, non-commercial, or news-reporting purposes, provided you do not alter it and you credit United Link Foundation as the source. Any other use requires our prior written permission.
Third-Party Links and Services
This website links to or embeds third-party services, including Stripe (for donations), Google Maps (for our office locations), and our social media pages. We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that this website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, United Link Foundation and its staff and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of this website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do.
Governing Law
United Link Foundation operates offices in both Nigeria and the United States. These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where ULF is formally registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local law requires otherwise.
