Fr. Eugene A. Inobeme, OSA, born In Auchi, Etsako West LGA, Edo State, Nigeria. He began his formal education at Etsako Primary School, Auchi (F.S.L.C., 1994), and continued at Our Lady of Fatima College, Auchi (S.S.C.E., 2000).
- In 2008 Fr. Inobeme earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the St Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary Makurdi, an affiliate of the Urbaniana University, Rome.
- He later obtained a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from the University of Jos, an affiliate of the Urbaniana University, Rome (2013).
- In 2023 he pursued postgraduate studies in Christian Spirituality at Creighton University, Omaha, USA.
- He was ordained to the priesthood on July 12, 2013.
Fr. Inobeme has served faithfully in a variety of pastoral and administrative roles. From 2013 to 2014 he was Associate Priest and Bursar at All Saints Catholic Church, Oghara (Warri Diocese). From 2014 to 2020 he served at St. John of the Cross Parish, Mararaba (Lafia Diocese), where he was Associate Priest and School Administrator of St. Augustine Schools. During this period he also served as Bursar, National Spiritual Director of the Augustinian Young People Association of Nigeria, and Chairman of the Primary Education Commission for the Order of St. Augustine in Nigeria.
As National Spiritual Director, he led youth initiatives against drug and substance abuse and supported young people in their recovery and spiritual journeys. He ministered to inmates at Keffi Correctional Centre and to patients at New Life Specialist Hospital and Rehab Centre, Abuja.
In 2020 he was appointed Parish Priest of St. Helena’s Catholic Church, River Park Estate, Lugbe (Archdiocese of Abuja), overseeing pastoral care, sacramental ministry, catechesis, and parish administration. He later served as Community Superior at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Iwaro-Oka (Ondo Diocese), where his responsibilities included community leadership, youth ministry, sacramental ministry, and pastoral care.
Ministry in the United StatesIn 2023 Fr. Inobeme was appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Margaret, Riverton, Wyoming, with responsibility for the missions of St. Edward (Kinnear), Our Lady of the Woods (Dubois), and St. Joseph (Shoshoni). He also assists with pastoral ministry at the Wyoming Honor Farm Correctional Center, providing counseling, confessions, and Masses.
Certifications and membershipsFr. Inobeme received a Spiritual Companion Certification through Seton Hall University (New Jersey) and holds an official iThirst Companion Card to support and promote spiritual companioning in the community. He is also a member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI).
